Andrea is an active freelance clarinetist and private teacher in the Chicagoland area.  She has performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Opera Theater, Grant Park Orchestra, Elgin Symphony Orchestra, Ravinia Festival Orchestra, Chicago Philharmonic, Lake Forest Symphony, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, Rockford Symphony Orchestra, and Illinois Symphony Orchestra.  Andrea perfomed bass clarinet with the Quad City Symphony for the 2007-2008 season.  In addition to her orchestral work, Andrea is the clarinetist and Artistic Administrator for the MAVerick Ensemble, a contemporary chamber music ensemble in Chicago.

Andrea is on the music faculty at Benedictine University.  Her responsibilities at Benedictine include: teach applied clarinet, coach chamber ensembles, and direct the Summer Chamber Music Workshop.  Andrea also teaches Music Appreciation for Benedictine's Moser College of Adult and Professional Studies.  Recently Andrea became the clarinet instructor at Loyola University Chicago.  Andrea has clarinet studios at Lockport Township High School and Wheaton-Warrenville South High School.

Andrea has studied clarinet with Charlene Zimmerman, J. David Harris, Russell Dagon, and John Bruce Yeh.  She earned her Master of Music degree in performance from Northwestern University, and her Bachelor of Music degree with honors, in performance, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Andrea feels very fortunate to have had such great teachers and mentors, and she is delighted to have the opportunity to pass on what she has learned to all of her students.
